Gemini Waverider Rigid Inflatables (RIBs)

Ranging in size from 3.1 to 8.5 meters long with hulls made from sturdy fiberglass composite, Gemini waveriders can be dropped into the ocean from Hercules transport planes or from Chinook helicopter. Gemini RIBS can be fitted with saddle seats that can hold up to 14 SBS operators and so were often the boat of choice for ship boarding operations. Geminis have now been largely replaced by Arctic 22/24/28s in the Maritime Counter Terrorism / boarding role and Rigid Raiders in the insertion role.
