L96A1 AW Sniper Rifle
Accurate up to 1km, the British made L96A1 AW sniper rifle is a fearsome weapon, especially when placed in the hands of an SBS sniper. Like most sniper rifles it is a single shot bolt operated weapon. The L96A1 is typically fitted with a Schmidt & Bender PM II or 10x42 hensoldt telescopic sight. A bipod towards the front of the weapon and a single extendable spike in the buttstock make for a stable firing platform. The AW is hardened for use in arctic conditions and features an enlarged trigger guard for accommodating gloved fingers.
Several variants of the rifle exist including a suppressed version (AWS) and a variant with a folding stock and suppressor that fits in a special briefcase (AWS Covert).
