Photo showing 2 SBS men, armed with C8 carbines, on guard outside Bagram airbase, Afghanistan, November 2001. 100 SBS commandos from C Squadron flew into Bagram in order to secure this vital facility for use by allied forces in the country. A tense standoff between the C Squadron and local Northern Alliance troops in the area was eventually diffused by diplomatic efforts.
