The 22 or 28 feet -long Pacific series of RIBs are used throughout the British Navy and Royal Marines as ship's boats and for special operations.
Unlike the Arctic series which run on petrol, Pacific RIBs are diesel-powered and have greater range (300 nm) but are less poweful than Arctics, with top speeds of 35 knots (22) and 50+knots (28).
As with the Arctic 22/28, Pacific RIBS can be fitted with communications, navigation gear, boarding equipment and mounts for GPMG or .50 cal machine guns.
