HMS Rame Head - SBS Training Ship
HMS Rame Head is a Canadian built World War 2 "Fort" Class merchant cargo ship. During World War 2 the vessel acted as a lifeline to Britain as part of the Atlantic convoys that brought much needed food and war materials from North America to the UK.
Now moored in Portsmouth Harbour, HMS Rame Head is frequently used by the Special Boat Service when training in ship assaults. Such training includes Close Quarters Battle (CQB) drills, ship boarding techniques and underwater demolitions.
